When it comes to skin care I was always on “the faster the better” side. Just a few months ago my skin care routine was only cleansing, using Hada Labo make up remover facial foam, the only product I use to clean my makeup and wash my face at the same time. However, a few months ago my friend recommended me to try the 10 steps Korean skin care routine. After hearing all the steps we probably think the same thing “omg it’s too much, it’ll take forever, I’m too lazy to do it”. However, after putting my mind to it and bought the products needed, It’s not as hard as it looks. So here it is, my night time skin care routine and the current products that I use.
- Chanel – Eye makeup remover
Cleansing is one of the most important steps in all skin care routines, it is also the first step. Since the only makeup that I wear every day is eyeliner, so the first thing I do is cleaning my eyes with Chanel eye makeup remover, this works magic. You only need a little to remove a lot.
- Chanel – Anti-pollution face makeup remover
I do triple cleansing instead of 2, the first thing I use to clean my whole face is Chanel anti-pollution face makeup remover. I don’t really use any makeup daily, but every time I use this my cotton pad turns a little dark, which means there’s a lot of dirt or pollution on my face, that’s why I could never skip any cleansing step. Don’t clog up your pores by skipping this step.
- Hada Labo – Cleansing Oil
Cleansing oil is a MUST! it gets ALL makeup off super easily and will also soften your skin. Just gently massage it all over your face using circular motions until the makeup fully melts.
- Hada Labo – Whitening facial foam
I’m obsessed with Hada Labo cleanser, It’s pretty difficult for me to find a product that works for my skin (it’s very sensitive and acne prone), fortunately my skin said yes to Hada Labo products, it’s good for your skin and for your wallet too J lol
- SKII – Facial treatment clear lotion
One word for this product, LOVE! The first time I tried this product is when I get the sample from the counter, I was like “woohoo samples” (no expectation, I just like free stuff). The sample was extremely small, I was able to use it 5x, however with only that little amount of toner I can actually feel that my skin is getting smoother by using this. To be honest I don’t understand the use of toner, I mean yes toner helps to restore the skin’s pH balance after cleansing which is important, but I never felt like it helped my skin, until this. I really recommend this, but yea, I cried when I first bought the whole bottle, so expensive I die.
- COSRX – BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
I heard from my friend that this is a good product for exfoliating, I’ve done a little research and this product is actually very-very popular, so I decided to give it a try. The peeling was very mild and it stings a little when you use it, so far I can’t really see the results since my blackheads are still there, but hearing all the great feedbacks, I can’t wait to see the changes.
- AURIGA – Flavo C-Serum
Bought this when I was in Paris, just randomly asked the staff for vitamin C serum and he gave me this. I actually really like this, it helps fade the appearance of dark marks & acne scars on my face. The thing I dislike about this product is the smell, It smells like a tonic or something, idk it’s just weird.
- LANEIGE – Moiturizing Cream and Gel
I bought the waterbank trial kit online because I just want to try it. I use 2 products at once because I have a combination skin (oily t-zone area), I use the cream on my cheek area and the gel one on my t-zone area.
- LANEIGE – Eye Gel
As we all know, the skin around our eyes is thinner and easily dehydrated, that’s why it needs to be treated with its own cream. Just take a bit of gel/cream and tap it gently underneath your eyes.
- LANEIGE – Water sleeping mask
The final step! I use the best selling product from Laneige to finish it up. Don’t use it too often tho or your skin will become addicted to this, just 3x a week should do the trick.
You don’t have to use the same products as I do, just do some research on what products that will fit your skin condition. We all want that really healthy glow, hydrated and youthful skin like Korean girls right? and trust me having great skin can change your life. I’m not really there yet, but my goal is to be as glowing as SNSD girls. Hahaha.
Ciao!
