I went to the dentist last month to get my teeth whitened. At first, I don’t wanna try any teeth whitening procedure since I thought it would harm my teeth, and I also consider my teeth as quite bright. Lol. I also thought that if you bleached your teeth, the color wouldn’t be natural, it’ll look like a fake teeth since it’s too white. However, my friend (who’s a dentist) explained to me that it’s not purely teeth whitening, it’s actually just a brightening process, thus it still looks natural only brighter.
Since I have a dentist friend, she did most of my friends’ teeth and it does whiten everyone’s teeth a few shades whiter than what they were in the beginning. Seeing as my wedding is coming up i thought what the heck! So I went to her clinic (AUDY DENTAL) to get my teeth bleached.
The procedure is pretty simple,
- First the doctor checked my teeth if there’s any tooth decays, cavities etc and if it’s okay for her to do the bleaching.
- She scaled the teeth to make it cleaner.
- Then she put the cheek retractor and put the gum protector so the bleaching gel won’t get into your gum.
- After that the bleaching finally starts, she applied some sort of gel on my teeth, let it dry and they laser the whole teeth for about 15 minutes. She did this procedure twice. People usually feel pain during this process. Fortunately I didn’t feel anything at all. The only thing I hate about it is the waiting. It ‘s definitely uncomfortable since you have to open your mouth for 30 minutes.
The whole process took around 1 hour. When everything was done my teeth looks amazing. Hahaha ini lebay sih. To be honest at first I didn’t notice the difference, but after comparing the before and after photo I can totally see that my teeth has become a lot brighter. I’m so happy with the result.
